Daily Diving from Our Boat
Enjoy the best that daily boat diving in Sharm El Sheikh has to offer. Oonas Dive Club has its own boat which isa large day cruiser with spacious sun decks, a saloon area, a galley, toilets and purpose-designed dive decks. It’s fully equipped with oxygen, first aid, lifejackets, marine radio and equipment.
The daily itinerary for our boat alternates between a wide variety of dive sites. These include the world-famous Ras Mohammed National Park and Straits of Tiran. Then there are the equally beautiful local sites up and down the South Sinai coast.
We choose to keep our groups on our boat small which creates a more intimate and friendly environment between guides, guests & crews.
Our guides choose dive sites carefully dependent on weather conditions and diver experience levels. Similarly, they’ll try to avoid large numbers of boats and divers, which means our guests enjoy a more relaxed dive. After all who doesn’t want a dive site to themselves if they can — and additionally have more chance of encountering larger marine life.
What to Expect
A typical day out on our boat will start between 7.45 am and 9 am. Our bus will transport you to the local jetty where our boat will be waiting. After that, once you’ve boarded and set up your kit, you can relax until it’s time for the first dive briefing.
Two dives are generally made in the morning followed by a buffet lunch. An optional third dive is offered in the afternoon at a supplemental charge on your daily diving. We generally return at around 4.30 pm for a spot of ‘après dive’ back at the Dive Centre
Have a look at our Notes for Divers for useful information for planning your diving.
Snorkelers and Non-Diving Passengers
Snorkelers and non-diving passengers are very welcome to join our dive boats. There is plenty of space to relax, sunbathe and watch the amazing scenery of the South Sinai pass by.
Our guides are happy to make suggestions for the best snorkeling experience on the wonderful coral gardens and shallow reef plates surrounding most dive sites. Snorkelling equipment can be rented from the dive centre if required.
Diving Extras
As well as our standard daily boat diving, there are many opportunities for additional diving activities. These include visits to the wreck of the Dunraven, Night Dives either on our House Reef or a trip to one of the most famous wrecks in the world, the SS Thistlegorm.
You may also wish to consider hiring a private guide for the day for an even more personalised experience.
